Matthew 28:19-20 King James Version (KJV)
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The last statement in Matthew 28:19-20 is called a Doxology; it is the final statement of Worship or the liturgical statement to Praise God.
Jesus in the final commands before he departed back to heaven left his followers and disciples with a last and parting instructions.
Jesus is leaving us as well with instructions. So why are we still waiting for instructions on what we should do?
Jesus himself tells you what our job is. It is to Go. Go tell people about Jesus. Tell them about The God of Heaven and Earth who came to Earth wrapped in human clothing. Tell them about a child who came to die for their sins.
Tell them about a God who loved them enough to send His only Begotten Son. Tell them about a Savior.
Are you telling them? Where you work? When you’re in line at the grocery store. Do they see Jesus when you’re driving? Or do they see that man or woman giving them the finger?
What are you telling them? Are you living like Jesus could come at any moment? Are you worrying? Are you living for heaven? Or living like you are on your way to hell
Teach all nations- Let’s remember there is no black church, no white church no Mexican church. There is only One Lord, One Faith, One Baptisim. Don’t be afraid to witness to people who don’t look like you, act like you or talk like you. You don’t want anyone to that you could of witnessed to end up in hell.
Teaching them to observe all things- Jesus taught us to love God with all our heart mind and soul. Jesus wanted us to get that in our heads so much that it is in the bible over 90 times. We are commanded through the 10 commandments to Love God with all our heart mind and soul.
Are you loving God? Or are you showing up for the “church show” ? You know the one where you’re the best dressed, with the biggest bible, with the loudest longest prayer.
Jesus taught us to love our neighbor as ourselves means treating our enemies and our friends like they are better than us. When we think about what God has done for us. How Has He taken us to the cross? How he has given us a new life, How can we not take this command seriously?
God is with us always. God spirit lives in us. Jesus himself said the Godhead is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We need to stop arguing the gospel and start living it in front of people. The Gospel is not about riches. It’s about giving. Giving Lost men and Women boys, and girls the Savior who died for us all. Its time to do those things Jesus himself has commanded us to do. We need to Go
